WindTunnel technology provides the addition of two ducts to the inside of the agitator cavity. Once dirt has been picked up by the brush roll, it collects in these ducts and thus is prevented from coming in contact again with the agitator and being redistributed back onto the carpet. The technology improves the upright's cleaning ability.

The Twin Chamber System. Because of this Hoover-designed system, the cleaning performance of the upright is sustained after extended use. Here's how it works: Heavy dirt entering the machine is drawn into the empty chamber and is kept there by a permanent pre-filter, located between the two chambers. The pre-filter allows only fine particles to pass into the second chamber, where they are stopped by a HEPA filter. The HEPA filter, with a coated surface that helps shed dirt, helps prevent buildup that can clog it and restrict airflow. This helps provide longer cleaning performance.
